Google Ads management in Halifax, in an account you always own
We set up and run Google Ads for local businesses from $199 a month, plus your ad spend. The account stays in your name. There’s no long-term contract. Each report shows what the ads cost and what they produced, measured in calls, forms and sales rather than clicks.
Google Ads plans and prices

How much ad spend do you need?
Enough to get real data. A rough way to check: divide your monthly budget by the likely cost per click. If that leaves you only a few dozen clicks, you won’t learn much, and one bad week will look like a failed campaign. Then ask what a customer is worth to you. A roofer can afford a far more expensive lead than a café.
Costs vary by trade and season, so we won’t quote a universal number. These guides break it down:
- Google Ads cost per lead in Canada
- How HST works on Google Ads invoices
- Local Services Ads in Nova Scotia, a pay-per-lead alternative for some trades
What happens in the first 60 days
- Before launch. We check your landing page, set up form and call tracking and test each conversion. Ads without tracking are guesswork.
- Launch. Once Google approves the ads, clicks and leads can start within days. Don’t judge the campaign yet. Early numbers swing a lot.
- Weeks 2 to 4. We read the real search terms people used, block irrelevant ones and adjust bids and ad text every week.
- Weeks 5 to 8. With enough data, we move budget toward what produces enquiries. By now you should be able to see a cost per lead worth discussing.
- Monthly review. A plain report: spend, leads, cost per lead, what changed and what’s next.
Where ad budgets usually leak
| Problem | What it looks like | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Irrelevant searches | Job seekers, DIY researchers and people in other cities clicking your ad | Review search terms weekly and add negative keywords |
| Weak landing page | Plenty of clicks and no calls. See why that happens | Send ads to a page that matches the search, or build one |
| Bad automated leads | Spam forms from broad automated campaigns. See Performance Max spam leads | Check lead quality with you, tighten settings and channels |
| Wrong location settings | Ads showing outside the area you serve | Set targeting to people in your service area |
| Counting the wrong thing | Page views reported as “conversions” | Count only real actions. See conversion tracking |
Your account stays yours
Some business owners only learn when they leave that the agency holds the ad account and its history. That won’t happen here. We work inside your Google Ads account with access you control. Leave whenever you like, with notice, and you keep the account, campaigns, data and conversion setup. We can’t refund spend Google has already delivered, and we can’t control Google’s ad approvals or account decisions. Our service terms have the details.
Questions to ask any Google Ads manager
- Whose name is on the account? Can I log in and see everything myself?
- How do you count a conversion, and can you show me the setup?
- Can I see which searches triggered my ads?
- What did you change last month, and why?
- What’s my cost per lead, not just my cost per click?
Questions about Google Ads
How quickly will I see results?
Clicks and enquiries can start within days of approval. A reliable read on cost per lead usually takes 30 to 60 days, while we gather data and refine the campaign.
What’s the minimum ad spend?
We recommend at least $300 a month on Starter and $500 on Growth, paid to Google. In competitive trades, those amounts may be too low, and we’ll tell you before you start.
Do you offer a contract?
No long-term contract. You can cancel with 30 days’ written notice.
Can you take over an existing account?
Yes. We review it first, keep what works and fix tracking before changing much. The account’s history is useful, so we rarely start over.
Do you also run Facebook and Instagram ads?
Yes, see Meta ads management. Our comparison of Google and Facebook ads can help you choose.
Do you work outside Halifax?
Yes, across Nova Scotia and Canada.
Spending on ads and unsure what you’re getting?
Tell us your service, area and budget. If you already run ads, we’ll look at the account and tell you what we’d change first.
