Video design and motion graphics in Halifax, with real work you can watch

Video design is the part of a video that goes beyond the footage: titles, animation, logo reveals, transitions, music and pacing. We make promo films, in-store screen videos and social clips. Below are four real projects from our channel, so you can judge the work for yourself.

How a video design project runs

  1. Brief. What’s the video for, where will it play, who should it persuade, and how long can it be? A waiting room loop and a Reel are different edits from the first cut.
  2. Script and storyboard. A written outline and rough frames, for anything with animation or a message to get right. Changes are cheap at this stage.
  3. Style frames. One or two still frames showing type, colour and motion direction, based on your brand.
  4. First cut. Structure and timing come first. You approve the story before any time goes into final polish.
  5. Finishing. Animation, colour, music and sound mix. We use licensed music, so your video can run in public and in ads.
  6. Delivery. Final files in the sizes and formats your screens and platforms need.

Pricing

Short social edits start with our $79 Quick Edit. On-location shoots with edited Reels start at $349. The $799 Visual Boost adds cinematic colour, sound mixing and a custom intro and outro. Longer films, animation and motion graphics are quoted per project, because the script and animation time drive the cost. Our guide on video production costs in Halifax explains what moves the price.

Questions about video design

Can you make a video without filming anything?

Yes. Animation, text, photos and existing footage can make a strong video, particularly for explaining a service or running on an in-store screen.

How long should my video be?

Only as long as the message needs. For social, often 15 to 30 seconds. For a homepage, often a minute or two. Training videos run as long as the topic demands.

Do you add captions?

Yes, on request, and we recommend them. Many people watch social video with the sound off, and captions help viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Can I use the music anywhere?

Music licences differ. Tell us where the video will run, including ads and in-store screens, so we can choose suitable music.

Who owns the finished video?

You receive a permanent licence to use it in your marketing. Our service terms explain this, and how to arrange full copyright transfer if you need it.

Have a video in mind?

Tell us where it’ll play and what it has to do. Bring an example you like, and we’ll tell you what it would take.
