Video Shoot & Production in Halifax

On-location filming for corporate profiles, product launches, and promotional content, from planning through direction on the day. We handle the shoot so you walk away with footage that's ready to edit, not just raw clips.

Company profiles, culture videos, and brand stories filmed on location at your business.

Product launch videos and promotional content built around what you're selling and who you're selling it to.

Shot lists, scheduling, and on-set direction so the day runs smoothly and the footage covers what you need in the edit.

Raw, organized footage handed off ready for editing, or bundled with our editing service for a finished final cut.

What a Shoot Day Actually Includes

A production day is mostly preparation. By the time a camera is switched on we have agreed the shot list, worked out where the light is coming from, and identified the two or three shots the video cannot work without. That is the difference between a day that produces a finished video and a day that produces four hours of footage nobody can cut together.

On the day we handle direction, framing, audio and lighting. If your video involves someone speaking on camera and that person is not a professional presenter, which is nearly always the case, a good portion of the day is spent making them comfortable enough to sound like themselves. That work does not show up on an equipment list, and it is the single biggest factor in whether the finished video is watchable.

What Video Production Costs in Halifax

Pricing is driven by three things: crew days, edit hours, and how many deliverables you need. Everything else moves the number less than people expect.

Typical ranges in this market: a half-day social content shoot producing several short vertical clips runs $500 to $1,500. A business or service video with an on-camera interview, b-roll of your team working, and two to three finished minutes runs $1,500 to $3,500. Multi-day brand films and story-driven client pieces start around $3,500 and go up from there. Add 14% HST to all of it. We break every tier down, including what drives a quote from one end of a range to the other, in how much video production costs in Halifax.

Our own packages come in below those ranges, because they are tightly scoped rather than open-ended. The On-Site Shoot Package is $349 plus HST: a two-hour shoot at your location with 4K camera and 4K drone, three Reels-length videos, fifteen edited photos, Meta Ads setup and five-day delivery. The Visual Boost Package is $799 and adds cinematic grading and sound mixing, a custom intro and outro built on your brand, five videos, twenty photos and a two-week performance report. Larger productions, multi-day shoots and anything scripted are quoted per project against the ranges above.

If you already have footage and only need it cut, that is priced separately and far lower. See our video editing service instead.

How a Production Runs

What the video is for, where it will be published, how long it needs to be, and who it has to convince. A video for a trade show and a video for your homepage are different edits from the first cut, so we settle that before quoting.

A written plan covering what gets filmed, in what order, and how long each block takes. You see it before the shoot day so there are no surprises about how much of your team’s time we need.

On location at your business, or wherever the story actually happens. Most single-video projects are one day. We film more coverage than the final cut needs, because options in the edit are what make pacing work.

You approve the structure first, before anyone spends hours on colour and graphics. Restructuring after the polish stage means throwing the polish away, which is where video budgets quietly double.

Final files in the formats and aspect ratios your platforms need, plus short cuts for social if that is in scope.

Common Questions

For a single business video, usually two to three weeks from scoping call to final file, with the shoot itself somewhere in the middle. Faster is possible if the schedule is tight; tell us the deadline up front.

Not always. Interview-led video with a prepared set of questions often sounds more natural than a script read to camera, and it is easier on people who do not do this for a living. For product and promotional work a script usually earns its keep.

That is normal and it is what the scoping call is for. Bring examples of videos you like and we will work out what is actually transferable to your business and your budget.

Yes. Most of what we shoot is filmed in working businesses around HRM. We work around your day rather than shutting it down, and we bring our own lighting so a dim office is not a problem.

Two rounds as standard, defined in the quote so there is no argument later about what counts as a round. Nominating one decision-maker on your side keeps it comfortably inside that.

Where We Shoot

On location across Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville and the wider HRM. Travel further into Nova Scotia is quoted with the project. You can see examples of our video design work and our broader photography and videography before you commit to anything.
