Founder, Eski Media
Caglar Aybas
I’m a web and graphic designer with more than nine years of experience and over 100 websites built. I run Eski Media, a small Halifax studio that builds websites, handles local SEO and Google Ads, and shoots photo, video and drone work for businesses across HRM. When you hire us, I’m on the first call. I also sign off on the work.

Background
I’ve been designing websites and marketing material for more than nine years and have built over 100 websites, mostly for small and growing businesses. My core skills are web design and graphic design. Over time I added the search, advertising, photography and drone work that clients kept asking for alongside a new site.
Before moving to Halifax, I worked in Toronto, where projects included the in-office screen video for Bond Dental and websites for businesses across Canada. Halifax is now home, and it’s where Eski Media is based.
Selected past work
- KanadaEhliyet.ca: web design, SEO and Google Ads setup
- Canada Turkish Business Council: web design
- Novo Modern and Euro Form Furniture: web design, SEO and social media
- Boran Exteriors: web design
- Ankara Library: blog management, Mailchimp email, social media and graphic design
- Bond Dental, Toronto: video design for the clinic’s in-office screens
Education
- ILAC International College, Toronto: Sales and Marketing, with co-op (2022–2024)
- Abant İzzet Baysal University: Business Administration, Management Information Systems (2017–2023)
- Anadolu University, Eskişehir: Business Management Information Systems (2016–2021)
Tools I work with every day
WordPress, HTML, CSS, SQL and Python on the build side; Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and XD, Figma and Canva for design; Premiere Pro and After Effects for video; Semrush, HubSpot and Google’s own tools for search and marketing; and the OpenAI API for automation work.
What I do
Eski Media is small on purpose. That’s the point. Instead of an account manager passing messages to a production team, the people you talk to are the people doing the work. In practice that means I plan and oversee every project. Depending on the job, I also design, build, shoot or fly it myself.
Websites
WordPress and Shopify sites for local businesses, from a one-page starter site to full online stores. Web design · E-commerce
Search and ads
Local SEO, Google Business Profile work and Google Ads management for businesses that want calls, not just clicks. SEO · Google Ads
Photo, video and drone
On-site shoots, short-form video and aerial work, flown on a DJI Mini 4 Pro under a Transport Canada Advanced certificate. Drone · Photo and video
Credentials
- Transport Canada Advanced RPAS pilot certificate. For drones of 250 g and over, it’s the level Transport Canada requires for controlled airspace and flights close to people. I fly all of Eski Media’s aerial work myself and file the airspace authorizations the job needs.
- Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop certifications.
- Training certificates in Google’s Digital Workshop, social media, artificial intelligence and advanced entrepreneurship.
More detail, including what each credential actually allows, is on our credentials page.
How I work with clients
- Published prices. Our starting prices are on every service page, and on our pricing page in one place.
- Honest scoping. If a $79 edit or a single landing page will do the job, I’ll say so rather than sell a bigger package.
- Local first. Most of our work is for businesses in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford and Sackville, so I write the advice for this market, not copied from U.S. guides.
What I write about
I publish practical guides for local businesses on the questions clients actually ask us. A few of them:
- Why a Google Business Profile ranks in Halifax but disappears in Dartmouth
- Google Ads getting clicks but no calls
- Getting your domain back from a web designer
- Transport Canada drone rules for Halifax
- Shopify vs WooCommerce: the real three-year cost in Canada
The full library is on our guides page. Our editorial policy explains how we research and check them.
