When Editing-Only Is the Right Call
There is a hard drive in most businesses with several hours of usable video on it. Phone clips from job sites, a conference talk someone recorded, footage from a shoot two years ago that produced one video and forty minutes of unused material. That is an asset, and almost nobody treats it like one.
Editing-only is genuinely the right answer if you have footage and no finished video, if you have one video and need six shorter cuts for social, if your team already films well enough on a phone, or if something happened that simply cannot be reshot. It is also the cheapest way to get a dated video back into service: new graphics, tighter pacing, updated end card, at a fraction of starting over.
What We Can and Cannot Fix
Worth being straight about the limits, because a good editor tells you this before taking your money rather than after.
Improved, sometimes. Fixed, no. If an interview was recorded in a room with a fan running and no external microphone, the fan is in the recording permanently. This is the most common reason we tell someone their footage is not usable.
If you filmed one continuous take from one angle, there is nothing to cut to, which makes every cut a jarring jump. Editing needs options to work with.
Blown-out windows behind a subject, or footage so dark it is mostly noise, has no recoverable detail. Colour correction works with information that exists in the file.
Vertical footage cannot become horizontal, or the reverse, without cropping heads out of frame.

How Editing Is Priced
By hours of work, not by minutes of finished video, which surprises people. A tight 60-second cut assembled from messy footage can take longer than a five-minute video built from clean, well-organized material.

The Quick Edit Package is $79 plus HST: five to ten photos or short clips, professional colour and light correction, one 15–30 second Reel, background music and logo animation, optimised for Instagram and Facebook, two-day delivery with one minor revision.
